Let’s start the Christmas holiday off right by giving back to local families!
This Saturday, December 21, will be a great chance to serve the Baton Rouge community by partnering with Live 2 Serve. Live 2 Serve is a Christian organization that goes into poverty-filled areas of Baton Rouge and ministers to families through many different programs. Live 2 Serve is hosting their third annual Christmas party in Baton Rouge on the 21st from 8:30-1:30. The party will have games, arts and crafts, a free garage sale, the Galilee mission team performing the wordless drama, and much more. Our very own Mazie Dietrich found out other churches have teamed up with Live 2 Serve and she also wanted Thrive students to partner with their efforts of making this Christmas time special for many families.
Charlie Gregoire has agreed to take a van of students to serve tomorrow since the Wells family is unavailable. Meet in the youth building at 7:15 AM; the van will leave at 7:30 AM. Teens should have breakfast before arriving at the church. Snacks will be provided throughout the day, and lunch will be covered as a token of appreciation to the students who help serve. Please text Bro. Ryan if you can make it so your spot can be reserved on the van.
Let’s show up strong for Mazie tomorrow and help impact the lives of people in Baton Rouge!
