Hello Thrive family. Next week is the big week and I wanted to update everyone on the details of the garage sale prep leading up to next Saturday’s sale. As you already know, this is our big fundraiser for camp. Last year we were able to raise over $2500, and this year has the potential to be even bigger but we will need your help to pull it off. Adults can help with preparation (with or without the students in attendance) and that will allow more money to be added to a student’s youth account. Some students have served in past events enough that camp will be paid for completely from their youth accounts. Our hope is to offset the cost of camp as much as possible for our parents so more students could be a part of camp.
Here are a few dates and times to mark on your calendar and I hope you can be a part of each:
- 9 am -2 pm Monday April 21 – We will meet at the church to spend some time before and after lunch (meal will be provided by the church) and hopefully sort everything for the sale
- 6 – 8 pm Wednesday April 23 – We will finish organizing items and make plans for Saturday morning
- If we can set up the garage sale in these two settings, we will be done for Saturday. If we are not able to get all setup done, we will have to meet for some time on Friday. This should not be long but will make for a smooth day Saturday.
- 7 am – 2 pm Saturday April 26 – We will need at least 6 adults for this day to help with things. Breakfast and lunch will be provided by the church for all who help with the sale.
